International Business Development Executive

Based in our award-winning Bristol head office we’re looking for someone to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This exciting full-time role comes with a salary of circa £40,000 per annum depending on experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.
About the opportunity
As International Business Development Executive (Pukka Living Executive) you’ll play a central role in supporting the delivery of Pukka’s vision and mission in the Europe & AMET (Africa, Middle East, Turkey) region. You’ll do this by connecting as many people to the power of herbs across those countries, channels, customers, and categories as possible, and inspiring them to nurture health and happiness within the region.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with your designated markets to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans. Working closely with the Pukka Living Lead you’ll also be responsible for driving P&L performance that achieves Pukka’s purpose in your countries. This a varied role, where you will be responsible for managing our direct distributors, seeding markets in our Unilever operating model, as well as being a key partner to the Portfolio team on forthcoming innovation.
Day-to-day you’ll provide proactive and visible support to the Pukka global in-market community and distributors. You’ll support the development of plans, share project updates and materials and collate forecasts. You’ll organise team immersion sessions to inspire, educate and inform teams on Pukka’s purpose and knowledge-based selling and marketing, as well as other more ad-hoc team events and immersions. As a true Pukka ambassador with your countries, you’ll constantly nurture and develop ways of working that enables positive change. We are transitioning to a new operating model, so there is a chance to be involved in helping Pukka evolve to an even more focussed plant-based future!
With a track record of success across a range of functions within the FMCG sector, including exposure to customer development, commercial P&L ownership, marketing execution (preferably with a purpose driven brand) and stakeholder engagement, you’ll be experienced at developing and delivering against annual operating plans for revenue, profit and customer satisfaction.
Having previously worked in an international environment across different cultures and time zones, you’ll be an effective, persuasive, and respectful communicator who builds successful working relationships both internally and externally. Working as part of a cross-functional, high performing team you’ll be able to apply an entrepreneurial mindset towards growth and collaborative ways of working.
Highly organised, with the ability to flex between a range of tasks and operational areas with different inputs, you’ll also be someone who demonstrates a purposeful and tenacious drive to achieve results and deliver ‘excellence’.
