This is a permanent contract, Monday to Friday, with flexibility available on working hours (we could accommodate full-time at 40 hours per week, or part-time at 20 hours per week). The Warehouse operates within a 7am to 6pm window, with two shifts that run from 7am to 3.30pm or 10am to 6.30pm.
About the opportunity
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a new member to join our busy team. Sitting at the heart of the Company, our Warehouse plays a vital role within Pukka. The team receive bulk herbs from the many countries our herbs are organically grown, their quality is checked and then dispatched onwards to our manufacturers and co-packers. Finally, finished product is then received back in house where our team pick and despatch to our many web-based customers and shop orders across the UK.
As a Warehouse Team Member, you will primarily be responsible for picking and packing our D2C orders. Our D2C site has recently relaunched and this is an exciting area of growth within the business. You will liaise with Customer Services and Operations to ensure accurate communication of packing requirements, and book dispatches onto Interlink and Royal Mail. You’ll also take part in Warehouse cleaning, organisation and maintaining of records and stock counts, amongst other duties. Having recently been refurbished our Warehouse offers a fantastic working environment. With a newly fitted kitchen and dining facilities, and refurbished meeting rooms and desk spaces, the Warehouse is also a busy hub for Pukka people to come and work.
You’ll need to have experience of working in a warehouse and we’d love it if you already have a Food Hygiene qualification. You’ll be educated to GCSE standard and have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills. You’ll be comfortable following systems and have some experience of using computer systems for stock management and orders, as well as having experience of using email.
A hardworking and enthusiastic team player, with a can-do approach, you’ll be looking to be part of a passionate team. You’ll have great verbal communication skills, and a strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy. With a calm and flexible approach to your work you’ll be able to react positively to changing priorities and work demands, and you’ll be able to work well under pressure.
